Danny Dorland began his acting career in 2015 with a leading role in Spotlight. He went on to guest star in Brugklas and SpangaS and played Freek in the soap Familie. From 2020 to 2023, he was part of the hit series #LikeMe, broadcast on Ketnet, Eén, and Videoland. The show's music was released seasonally and achieved significant success. The album for the second season of #LikeMe went double platinum with over 30 million streams. The third album also went platinum, with over 10 million streams. In 2023, Danny collaborated with DJ 5NAPBACK on the song "Onzichtbaar," which was declared a BIG-HIT on M&M Radio and played on several popular Flemish stations, including Radio 2, Joe FM, and M&M Radio.
#LikeMe became an international success, airing in 10 countries, including Denmark, Germany, and France. The dialogues were dubbed into English, and the cast, including Danny, re-recorded the songs in English. With the #LikeMe cast, Danny performed for three consecutive years at a sold-out Sportpaleis for 12 shows.
Danny will soon star in a Dutch feature film set to premiere in cinemas before streaming on Amazon Prime. He is playing the role of Danny Zuko in the Flemish version of the musical Grease, produced by Albert Verlinde Theater BV.
This year, Danny is also available for bookings with his live band, performing a dynamic set of popular songs in rock versions. During his shows, he gives audiences a sneak peek at some of his unreleased original tracks.
