Ilayda Cetinkaya is an award-winning Middle-Eastern queer producer based in Los Angeles. Her solo-produced 35mm trans short film, SKIN, won the Gold Medal at the 2023 Student Academy Awards, was officially selected by over 40 festivals, and earned her the Best Producer award at both the 2024 Reale Film Festival and the Los Angeles Cinematography Awards 2023. She also line produced the Rising Voices short film "Corpse Fishing", a collaboration with Lena Waithe's Hillman Grad, 271 Films, and Indeed, which premiered at the 2024 Tribeca Film Festival. Additionally, she served as the production manager and associate producer for a TV series pilot "One For The Team".
She moved to the United States in 2014, beginning her journey at the Idyllwild Arts Academy and later earning a BFA in Film Production from Chapman University. She graduated from the AFI Conservatory's Producing Fellowship in 2023, where her thesis film "Re-Entry" received a production grant from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation. In 2024, she was honored with the Ataturk Youth Award by the Ataturk Society of America, a Turkish non-profit organization.
