On the heels of this week’s Digital release, Heretic is up for pre-order on special edition 4K Ultra HD and Blu-ray from A24.

Written and directed by A Quiet Place scribes Scott Beck & Bryan Woods, the horror-thriller stars Hugh Grant, Sophie Thatcher, Chloe East, and Topher Grace.

Expected to ship in January, the 4K Uhd costs $35 and the Blu-ray is $30. The 4K edition is presented in Dolby Vision Hdr, while both versions feature Dolby Atmos audio.

Namely, he plays the "bad guy" (so to speak) in "Heretic," a new horror thriller from Scott Beck and Bryan Woods where two Mormon missionaries, Sister Barnes and Sister Paxton stumble upon the home of a recluse named Mr. Reed (Grant). Following a brief teaser promo back in November, Showtime and Paramount+ (via FearHQ.com) have released the first full trailer for supernatural(?) survival drama, Yellowjackets, which is set to premiere with a double episode on February 14th, 2025.

The footage finds our beleaguered protagonists dealing with the fallout of the shocking season 2 finale, as it becomes clear that someone is attempting to hunt down and eliminate any of the island's survivors. We also get a first look at Hilary Swank's mysterious character right at the end, and confirmation that Jackie Taylor will return.

Ella Purnell has previously hinted that we may not have seen the last of Jackie, despite the character meeting a chilly end in the season 1 finale. Jackie has already shown up as a "ghost," and it looks like she'll be back to haunt present-day Shauna (Melanie Lynskey) in season 3.

A terrifying new teaser trailer that was released on Saturday during fan event Ccxp 2024 in São Paulo, Brazil, dropped the first hints at what season three of the hit coming-of-age survival horror series has on its menu when it returns on Feb. 14.

The footage (below) opens with a warning that the past will come back to “hunt,” and the words are overlaid on top of someone wearing the Yellowjackets team survivors’ infamous cannibalism mask, indicating what creators Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson and co-showrunner Jonathan Lisco have warned us along: More cannibalism is coming.

Things are only getting more difficult for the crash survivors in both the past and the present timelines with “Yellowjackets” Season 3.

The first teaser trailer for the hotly anticipated third season makes it plain what’s coming: the past. The warning is blasted loud over the first look, saying, “The past will come back to you.”

“Once upon a time, a bunch of teenage girls got stranded in the woods and they went completely nuts,” the Showtime teaser opens.

What follows is a smattering of images that show the ’90s crash survivors devolving further into their tribal and cult-like thinking – some even saying things like “can’t believe we didn’t eat that bitch first” – while the present day survivors try to figure out who is hunting them.

The upcoming third season of Showtime’s hit horror-drama series “Yellowjackets” is headed our way early next year, with “Yellowjackets” Season 3 set to debut with two episodes on Friday, February 14, 2025 on streaming and on demand for Paramount+ subscribers with the Paramount+ with Showtime plan before its on-air debut on Sunday, February 16.

Hugh Grant, one of the most household names in Hollywood romcoms for two decades, is now pulling out all the big guns as the creepy, majestic, and hardcore critic of all things religion in Scott Beck and Bryan Woods’ new Mormon horror, Heretic (2024). Beck and Woods have previously tried their hands on filmmaking after co-writing the 2018 blockbuster “A Quiet Place,” but they couldn’t really tap into the horror genre before this venture with Grant. “Heretic” is one of those movies that stay with you long after you’re done watching it, and is bound to be a solid Thanksgiving horror for those who fancy the genre. More exciting news for Yellowjackets fans! Sarah Desjardins, who plays Callie Sadecki in the hit horror-thriller series, has been promoted to series regular for the upcoming season 3. That means more screen time and crazy shenanigans for Jeff and Shauna's teenage daughter. Desjardins had a recurring role on the show in the previous two seasons.

This great news comes just days after the announcement of the official release date for Yellowjackets season 3. After a terribly long wait, the highly anticipated third season will land on Paramount+ with its first two episodes on Feb. 14, 2025. However, you'll only be able to watch the series on the streaming service if you have the Paramount+ with Showtime plan. You also have the option to watch it on Showtime when it has its on-air debut on Feb. 16, 2025.

Unlike season 2, which had only nine episodes, season 3 copies season 1's episode count and will have a total of 10 episodes.

Exclusive: There will be a change in the credits for the upcoming third season of Yellowjackets. Sarah Desjardins, who has recurred on the series since Season 1 as Shauna’s (Melanie Lynskey) daughter Callie, will be seen in an expanded role following a promotion to series regular. The annual event honors ”the women who are influencing Hollywood today from the best red carpet appearances, the women behind the camera, to Elle‘s very own cover stars,” according to the magazine.

While fans of the Showtime series Yellowjackets (read our review of season 2 Here) patiently wait to see the bonus episode that’s going to air sometime between the second and third seasons, a short promo has just dropped online to reveal that Yellowjackets season 3 is set to premiere on February 14th! You can check out the promo in the embed above.

Yellowjackets is described as “equal parts survival epic, horror story, and coming-of-age drama.” The story centers on a team of wildly talented high school girls soccer players who become the (un)lucky survivors of a plane crash deep in the Ontario wilderness. The series will chronicle their descent from a complicated but thriving team to warring, cannibalistic clans, while also tracking the lives they’ve attempted to piece back together nearly 25 years later, proving that the past is never really past and what began out in the wilderness is far from over.

Is Valentine’s Day the perfect time to launch season three of Yellowjackets? Paramount+ with Showtime seems to think so, announcing the upcoming season will premiere on February 14, 2025 with the release of the first two episodes.

New episodes will stream on Fridays.

The season three premiere date announcement also confirmed two-time Oscar winner Hilary Swank and Animal Control‘s Joel McHale are on board as guest stars. They join returning series stars Critics Choice Award winner Melanie Lynskey as Shauna, Emmy nominee Christina Ricci as Misty, and Tawny Cypress as Taissa. Sophie Nélisse is Teen Shauna, Jasmin Savoy Brown is Teen Taissa, Sophie Thatcher is Teen Natalie, Samantha Hanratty is Teen Misty, and Courtney Eaton is Teen Lottie.

The cast also includes Liv Hewson as Teen Van, Steven Krueger as Ben Scott, Warren Kole as Jeff, Kevin Alves as Teen Travis, Lauren Ambrose as Van, and Simone Kessell as Lottie.

Valentine’s Day is not a holiday that’s usually associated with cannibalism, but in 2025 it will be. “Yellowjackets,” the Emmy-nominated survival drama/psychological thriller/coming-of-age story/black comedy/supernatural mystery, is kicking off its highly anticipated third season on Friday, Feb. 14, Paramount+ with Showtime announced Tuesday.
