Gimbals Moonier is an actor and writer. He was raised in Pocatello, ID and he is of Filipino, French, Irish, and Welsh decent.
He began acting at the age of eight in youth theater starring in such productions as "The Wizard of Oz", "The Music Man", and "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory." Moonier landed his first professional role in the feature film Stealing Sunrise 2: Malibu Trail (2017). Moonier earned a Master's Degree in Acting for Film. He wrote, directed, and acted in A Soldier's Burden (2021), which screened at the Studio City Film Festival and won the Best One Actor Short Film Award.
Upon graduating from the United States Naval Academy, Moonier launched on a 23-year military career as a naval aviator, flying over 2000 hours and earning two Air Medals for strike/flight operations in Afghanistan. Though it was challenging, he managed to continue following his passion and continued performing in various theatrical plays throughout his military career. He is a former tennis instructor, a former sailing instructor, and he has led and competed with military CrossFit teams in three international competitions, and took 3rd place out of 1,111 athletes in the 2018 U.S. Air Force Alpha Warrior competition.
