- Joel was born in Havana, Cuba and came to West Palm Beach, FL when he was seven years old. He played basketball and competed in boxing throughout his life. He graduated with a Bachelors in Mathematics from Florida Atlantic University. After moving to Birmingham, AL in 2014, he started taking acting classes and made his debut shortly after in a theatre play located in Downtown Birmingham.
