Deon Stubbs, also known as "Deonte Stubbs," began his journey in entertainment in 2006 with a deep passion for dance, which evolved into a multifaceted career in choreography, music, and visual storytelling. His initial breakthrough came with acting roles, such as playing a Death Row member in "Surviving Compton" (2016) and appearing in a Giant Eagle commercial the same year.
In 2017, Deon took on his first major speaking role as Maze in the independent film "Use of Force," directed by James Madio. His career continued to gain momentum with roles in "Pitch Perfect 3" as military personnel, an Intel commercial with LeBron James as a photographer and crowd respondent, and a feature in an upcoming Sony Productions film with Matthew McConaughey as a gang member. He also appeared as a crowd respondent in Netflix's "Little Evil" in 2017.
Deon's role in the critically acclaimed, multi-award-winning film "Judas & the Black Messiah" elevated his career significantly, and his excellence in commercial advertising was recognized with a Telly Award.
As the founder of Hyer Society and Hyer Merit Association, Deon has been instrumental in fostering unity and innovation within his community. With over a decade of experience in the nonprofit sector, he has developed impactful programs that empower both young and adult entrepreneurs, particularly in technology, fashion, and creative arts. His leadership extends to Hyer Magazine, a platform that engages a wide audience across the United States, particularly within the Black community. Deon also hosts the HMA Awards, celebrating excellence in arts and entrepreneurship.
In addition to his acting and community work, Deon creates short films in his hometown, writes plays for high schools, and promotes the performing arts, inspiring others through his visionary leadership and creative achievements.
