John Wilcox(XXIII)
- Actor
Actor. John was born in Pasadena, CA, and grew up in Los Angeles and San Diego. The acting bug first bit at the age of seven with two productions at the Pasadena Civic. Following other career paths that took him to New York and Hong Kong, flash forward forty-some years when he realized the only thing he ever wanted to do is be an actor. An early co-star role opposite Mira Sorvino happened fast, and he's been loving the journey ever since. Other highlights include "No Man of God" with Elijah Wood and Luke Kirby and directed by Amber Sealey; "The Unexpected" directed by Remi Adeleke; "Origin: Beyond the Impact" directed by Jeff Patton; and all of the independent short and feature films, especially those that raise awareness about equality of all types, human rights, mental health and substance abuse (John got sober when he was twenty-two). He is a member of BGB Studios with Shane Connor, the Rehearsal Room acting studio with Carey Scott, and has also studied with Amy Lyndon, Geoff Kennedy, Chris Game, Killian McHugh and Finest City Improv.
