Claire Evans began her career as an independent literary agent and has guided a number of best-selling books to publication, including Harry Chapman Pinchers epic "Treachery" in 2010 and in 2013 Jake Wood's "Among You".
She began producing films in 2002 with the documentary "Playing With Fire". In 2009 she and British film director John Irvin founded DearHeart, and they set about developing original content and acquiring the Rights to create a film and documentary catalogue of work. John and Claire spent five years together on "Mandela's Gun" - for which Claire was nominated for the Mira Nair Award for Rising Female Filmmaker at the 2018 Harlem International Film Festival. "Mandela's Gun" won Best Film, Best Actor and Best Original Soundtrack.
Claire is producing with Vaughn Mullady a major British feature film about the Falklands War to be directed by John Irvin and a French Co-Production feature documentary "Road To Toad" to be directed by Jan Kounen and starring Patrick Cox. In 2019 DearHeart moved to Cardiff and with Med Parri began creating television drama and documentary content. In 2020 Claire Exec. Produced and DearHeart won a BAFTA CYMRU for their television documentary debut. She is developing a number of feature films and two new television drama series.
