Michael was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He graduated from Dillard High School before leaving and serving 3 years in the U.S Military. He graduated from Florida A&M Unversity with a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Science degree. He later studied film at Lifton Institute of Media Arts and Science.
In 2016 he served as the Script Supervisor for the film "The Blind Sided"
In 2019 he made his directorial debut with the short film "The Card".
