Forbes Magazine honored transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney by including her on its “30 Under 30 Social Media” list for being one of the most influential social media users in the world.
Mulvaney was listed alongside 29 other social media personalities who have shaped the “creator economy,” a “$250 billion industry estimated to roughly double over the next five years.”
She has used her TikTok platform to document her gender transition and struggles with the backlash that resulted from Bud Light making her a spokesperson last year.
“Our callout, Dylan Mulvaney, 26, is a creator, actress and LGBTQ+ activist who gained virality with her ‘Days of Girlhood’ series that documented her gender transition,” Forbes wrote, noting that the series “drew more than one billion views.”
Others on the “30 Under 30 Social Media” list include Alix Earle, Molly Burke, Alan Chikin Chow and Steven He.

TikTok is celebrating International Women’s Day in style. On March 8, the video app highlighted the spotlights, events, and other initiatives it is running during Women’s History Month.
If you’ve followed TikTok’s previous celebrations of specific cultures and identities, the app’s Women’s History Month programming will look familiar. A central #WomenofTikTok hub will shout-out some of the platform’s biggest stars. Creators who will be featured through that hashtag will include Drew Afualo, Molly Burke, and Dylan Mulvaney.
TikTok is also paying tribute to the female-led small businesses that have harnessed the power of the For You Page. Those companies include California bakery La Cheve and apparel brand Tw Travel Wear.
Cultural initiatives on TikTok typically involve live programming, and the app’s Women’s History Month campaign is no different. The official TikTok Live account is ringing in International Women’s Day with a...

September is a huge month in the fashion world. New York Fashion Week kicks off on September 9 and runs through the 13th. Milan‘s week-long celebration of style will begin on September 20. Only six days after that, Paris Fashion Week will get its turn on the runway. So there’s no better month for YouTube to bring a flurry of activity to its three-year-old /fashion hub.
YouTube’s “jammed pack [sic] month of fashion” will include a YouTube Shorts campaign, a pop-up showroom in New York City, and dozens of new videos from top fashionistas across the platform. Those videos, along with many others, will be made available on the YouTube Spotlight page.
To kick off this month-long celebration of haute couture, YouTube Shorts will invite users to #RemakeTheRunway. The campaign will promote the practice of “upcycling,” in which designers repurpose old threads from thrift stores and closets to create high-fashion looks.

Molly Burke, the popular YouTube star and activist whose videos frequently chronicle her journey as a blind woman, has just landed a new endorsement deal.
Burke, 24, will serve as an ambassador for Aerie -- the underwear sub-brand of American Eagle Outfitters targeting young women that notably purports not to retouch any ad imagery. Burke will be one of several spokesmodels headlining the brand's ongoing #AerieReal campaign, featuring women from different cultures and industries who are making a change in their respective communities. Communications will appear in stores and on social media, according to Wwd, and Burke and the other ambassadors will also engage with customers at in-store events dubbed 'Real Talks'.
Burke will be joined in the campaign by actresses Busy Philipps, Jameela Jamil, Samira Wiley, and Paralympian Brenna Huckaby. Aerie first unveiled the #AerieReal campaign last week with model Iskra Lawrence, poet Cleo Wade, and Olympic gymnast Aly Raisman.

Lifestyle vlogger Molly Burke has had an explosive year on YouTube -- growing from roughly 300,000 subscribers last April to 1.5 million today, according to internal Tubefilter data, thanks in no small part to massively-viewed collaborations with the likes of Shane Dawson, Gabbie Hanna, and, most recently, the Dolan Twins (see below).
Now, for the holidays, the Toronto-based 24-year-old has dropped her first-ever limited edition merch collection, which she personally designed. Hoodies, T-shirts, and accessories feature inspirational sayings in braille -- a nod to the fact that Burke is blind -- as well as pieces inspired by her adorable guide dog, Gallop. The collection ranges in price from a $10 bandana (with cartoons of Gallop reimagined as a unicorn) to $35 for a hoodie, which features the words ‘Living Freely’ in braille -- a phrase that Burke has tattooed on her arm.
Other products include a pop socket adorned with Gallop’s actual paw print,...
