New and Upcoming Sci-Fi and Fantasy

Indica Elizabeth Watson was born in London, England. Her debut television appearance was in the second series (2016) of The Missing (2014). In 2017 she played the young Eurus Holmes opposite Benedict Cumberbatch in the series 4 finale of Sherlock (2010). In 2018 Indica appeared in Deep State (2018) with Mark Strong and Joe Dempsie. Her debut performance in a leading role came in psychological horror Martyrs Lane (2019), which was closely followed by another leading role in short drama Nurtured (2019). In Autumn 2019 she featured in a new BBC drama series Gold Digger (2019) with Julia Ormond and Ben Barnes. Indica's first appearance in a feature film was playing Irène Curie in Radioactive (2019) starring Rosamund Pike as Marie Curie.

In 2021 Indica again appeared alongside Benedict Cumberbatch and Claire Foy in the feature film The Electrical Life of Louis Wain (2021), marking the second time she has played Cumberbatch's younger sister. The year ended with A Boy Called Christmas (2021) in which she played the young elf Little Noosh in the acclaimed adaptation of Matt Haig's origin story of Father Christmas. Robert Graves biopic The Laureate (2021) followed in 2022 featuring British actors Tom Hughes and Laura Haddock with Indica as their daughter Catherine and Dianna Agron as their beguiling house guest.

Summer 2022 saw the release of The Midwich Cuckoos (2022), David Farr's adaptation of John Wyndham's classic 1957 novel in which Indica portrayed the sinister Evie Stone alongside Keeley Hawes and Synnove Karlsen. A concert by legendary punk band The Damned filmed at the London Palladium The Damned: Night of a Thousand Vampires (2022) followed in October with Indica featured on two songs. Female-led action drama series Who Is Erin Carter? (2023) was released on Netflix in August 2023 with Indica starring alongside Evin Ahmad, Sean Teale and Douglas Henshall. The series was a big success, topping the Netflix Global Top 10 chart and reaching number one in 82 countries.

Indica was named after the Indica Gallery, a counterculture art gallery situated in Mason&#39;s Yard, St James&#39;s, London in the late 1960s.

Indica has been cast as Benedict Cumberbatch&#39;s little sister twice - first in Sherlock: The Final Problem (2017) and then in The Electrical Life of Louis Wain (2021).

Indica has been included in a list of the top ten Best British Child Actors on IMDb every year since 2018.

Indica appeared on stage for two songs with legendary punk group The Damned at the London Palladium in A Night Of A Thousand Vampires in October 2019.

British actress Keeley Hawes has played Indica&#39;s grandmother twice, despite being only 34 years older than her. First in The Missing (2016) and then in The Midwich Cuckoos (2022).
