David spent 35 years as a graphic designer but took a keen interest in drama from an early age and has appeared in well over 100 amateur productions in the south of England. He has played such characters Fagin (Oliver!), Toad (The Wind in the Willows), Cooper (A Month of Sundays), Hatter (Alice), Norman (Ayckbourn's Table Manners), Inspector Pratt (Murdered to Death), Fancourt Babberly (Charley's Aunt), Neville (Third Week in August) - for which he won a Curtain Call Award for Best Actor in a Comedy in 2015 - and Uncle Harvey (Season's Greetings). He has played title roles in Tom Jones, Lord Arthur Savile's Crime, Worzel Gummidge and has appeared in other classics such as Noises Off, Under Milkwood, Far From the Madding Crowd, Shadowlands and Confusions. Since retiring from the graphics industry in 2016, he splits his time between marketing consultancy, running a couple of holiday chalets and acting. The latter includes stage appearances as well as speaking and non-speaking acting roles and supporting artist work on major films and TV drama.
