One of the oldest and most recognized faces in the Indian comedy scene, Abish Mathew was one of the first Indian YouTube stars, who has over 1 million subscribers and over 153 million views on his YouTube channel. He started his career as a prime time radio host for Hit 95 FM, before transitioning fully into stand-up comedy and creating comedy shows. He currently runs his own enterprise called Absurdist Studios which is responsible for IP's such as Son of Abish & Journey of a Joke.
Abish was also part of the popular improv comedy collective "The Improvisers" alongside Kanan Gill, Kenny Sebastian and Kaneez Surka with their comedy special "The Improvisers: Something From Nothing" on Amazon Prime Video.
He wrote and performed on the infamous AIB knockout (AIB Roast) and has collaborated with the collective on multiple properties and videos.
As a stand-up comedian he has performed across India and the world, including Netherlands for the prestigious Utrecht International Comedy Festival, USA, Canada, Australia, Dubai and Singapore.
His shows are littered with jokes, sketches, improv, songs and game show elements.
He made his Bollywood debut in Yash Raj Film's "Meri Pyaari Bindu" in 2017 and also featured in the stoner comedy film "High Jack" in 2018.
Abish is known as one of the best comedy hosts in the country and has hosted all 3 seasons of Comicstaan on Amazon Prime Video.
He also appeared as the host of an exclusive Shark Tank India Episode on Sony Liv in 2022 and The Inner Circle on Star Sports in 2021.
Abish has also created 2 audio shows on Audible called "A Week To Kill" and "The Unexperts"
Behind the scenes, Abish has directed Kenny Sebastian's Amazon Prime Video Special "Don't Be That Guy", Creatively Directed for Netflix Global's "Comedians Of The World (India)" and has been Creative Supervisor for Netflix India's "Comedy Premium League."
Abish has been a brand consultant for over a decade and has created content for brands like Bacardi Breezer, Netflix, Amazon, Hasbro, HP etc and his brand of clean humour has won over crowds in clubs, colleges and corporates alike.
