Hailing from a small village in West Bengal, Bimal Giri had always wanted to become an actor. Despite facing financial challenges and other hardships, he never gave up on his passion for acting and has always worked hard to achieve success in the world of cinema.
He started his acting career from the eminent theatre group 'Swapnasandhani' in Kolkata under the guidance of popular actor Mr. Kaushik Sen and has appeared in several successful plays since.
He began his journey in cinema in Tathagata Ghosh's short film "The Goldfish who Swam Out of the Fishbowl" (2018) and it has been an amazing ride ever since. Audience worldwide has loved his performances in films like "Miss Man", "Dhulo" (The Scapegoat), "Mangsho" (The Meat), "Jodi" (If), "Pariah-Vol. 1", "Only the wind Knows the Truth" and "Bijoyar Pore" to name a few.
Bimal is currently working in various screen projects from Bengal that are all set to be released in the coming months. He is also going to make his Bollywood debut in a major national OTT platform very soon.
Apart from multiple accolades from audience and critics, Bimal has also won Best Supporting Actor at South Assam Film Festival for the film "Matripakkha" which will hit the theaters soon.
