Itaru Mizuno

Itaru Mizuno is a creative director and scriptwriter, best known for the Japanese TV series Rebooting(2023) which has won a total of 13 national and international television awards including the Best Direction at the Asian Academy Creative Awards 2023 and the Best Director(bronze) at Content Asia Awards 2023. It drew more than 15million viewers on broadcast, 35million viewers on streaming services(Hulu Japan and Tver, an AVOD service) and became a number 1 hit in Japan for the first half of 2023. His internationally co-produced series Connected(2022) was aired prime time in April 2022 and attracted more than 13 million viewers and high engagement especially from young audience, and became the number one twitter trend. It has been optioned for adaption in the U.S. market by Tomorrow Studios, an ITV Studios partnership. Having spent his childhood in Falls Church, Virginia, he is a bilingual of Japanese and English and has cultural understanding of the US society as his background.
