Martin Stocks is an award-winning writer and director with a distinctive darkly comedic style. His short film Toll Booth has won 11 awards and was nominated for Best Yorkshire Short at Oscar-qualifying Leeds International Film Festival. He is developing this project into a feature film. Current short Bully selected for 9 BIFA fests and winner of awards for Best Actor and Best Screenplay.
He is a narrative lead at a game studio shipping numerous successful games including hit Love Island The Game in partnership with ITV.
His feature comedy Humble Pie, centres on real-life Yorkshire tradition of making the world's largest pie. The script was commended by BAFTA, and a finalist in multiple screenwriting competitions. Earlier drafts were developed with Nick Goldsmith, Producer, Son of Rambow.
Martin has also written and produced several documentaries broadcast on Sky, and promotional films for clients including EDF Energy and Halfords.
