- Jazz record producer who began in the 1950's recording Sun Ra, Cecil Taylor and other jazz artists, but who was then hired by Columbia Records in the 1960's and ended up being instrumental in the fusion of folk and rock music. He produced three of Bob Dylan's early pre-electric folk LP's, as well as the sessions for the 1965 song, "Like A Rolling Stone", from Dylan's transitional album, Highway 61 Revisited, Wilson was a key figure in Bob Dylan's journey from acoustic to electric folk music and accompanied Dylan on his 1965 tour of Great Britain. He can be seen in Don't Look Back, the documentary film of that tour that was filmed by D.A. Pennebaker.
