- Joined the U.S. Army Reserves 09/2000 to 02/2008 and was part of the initial 2003-2004 deployment of Operation Iraqi Freedom I. Served active duty, regular Army from 03/2008 to 08/2013, consisting of a second 2008-2009 deployment to Iraq and a 3 month deployment to Afghanistan from 11/2010 to 02/2011 as a Second Lieutenant.
- Was classmates with Omar Benson Miller during Summer Arts 2000 in Fresno, CA, and opposite scene partner for an on camera exercise.
- Served 3 military deployments, between 2003 to 2013, and has had personal contact with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Gary Sinise amongst a sea of service members. In 2011, Alfred was deployed to Afghanistan and met actor, director, producer--Peter Billingsley & writer, producer, director, comedian--Steve Byrne through the United Service Organization (USO), and has thanked Steve Byrne for planting the seed to pursue the dream of dreams. In November 2020, Alfred connected with Steve again to thank him.
