Jacqueline Dorry
Jacqueline Dorry was born in New Jersey. She moved to North Carolina with her family at age ten. She began acting at age ten when she was cast as Pocahontas in her first community theatre production in Madison, New Jersey's Community Theatre summer production of "Legend of Pocahontas". By the end of that summer, she knew that she wanted to be a film actress one day. After graduating from UNC-Chapel Hill with a B.A. in Linguistics in 2008 and then graduating from graduate school (East Carolina University) in December 2010 with an M.S. in Communication Sciences & Disorders, she returned to community theatre acting in January 2011 and got cast in January 2011 as the lead female role, Rachel, in the Cary Players (Director: Jaret Preston) production of "Superhero" a play written by Mark Harvey Levine. She got nominated for Best Actress for her performance in that production. Other notable roles of hers include: Puck in William Shakespeare's, "A Midsummer's Night's Dream", Bobbi Michele in Neuse Little Theatre's (Smithfield, NC) Neil Simon's "Last of the Red Hot Lovers", and Corie Bratter in Garner Towne Players (Garner, NC) Neil Simon's "Barefoot in the Park". Some of her favorite film roles to date include: playing the female lead, Valerie, in General Education (Written and Directed by Michaela Erin Hudson), a comedic film and playing the female lead, Jane, in the sci-fi film Wake Me Up First (Directed by Rob Underhill). She also is a screenwriter. She looks forward to continuing to support others on their journeys and collaborating with more people on future film and TV projects!
