Katie Ward is a storyteller who hails from the birthplace of spring break, Fort Lauderdale, FL. She served as a U.S. Army officer in the always-glamorous Field Artillery and later worked in civil rights as a federal fair housing investigator. She holds a master's degree in public policy from Northwestern University and is currently pursuing a PhD in sociology at Georgia State.
Her love for theater and literature began in childhood and grew into a lifelong passion. She has trained in acting studios across the country, and she is a mentee in the 2024-25 Writers Guild Foundation's Veterans Writing Project. In her free time, she enjoys skydiving, hot yoga, and being the rescue human of a sprightly shepherd mix named Goose.
