Melissa Ashley Abdullah is an emerging Film Producer from Sydney, Australia. With a Bachelors Degree in Media Arts and Production from the University of Technology, Sydney, Melissa wishes to pursue working on both scripted Film and Television Series.
Melissa has a few short film credits under her belt, including Potato Fiction which debuted at the Laugh Or Die Comedy Fest, Illinois on 9th June 2017. This film has won an Award of Merit in the Best Shorts Competition 2017 and was the winner of Best Music at the Laugh Or Die Comedy Film Fest Chicago 2017. Melissa has also produced The Rational Thoughts of Raphael (2015), which premiered at the Global Impact Film Festival Washington D.C. 2016, and The Prayer Doctor (2016) which debuted at the Short & Sweet Film Festival Sydney in March 2017.
Melissa has been working on Australia's longest running travel series 'Getaway' as a Production Assistant, since March 2018. Normally based in the office with the team of Producers, she has also worked on site with the crew, both locally in Sydney and internationally in the Cook Islands. Also experienced at Researching and Production Coordination for Getaway, she is a keen learner who loves a challenge.
