Match #1: Pac & Jon Moxley vs. Jay White & Orange Cassidy The following is courtesy of allelitewrestling.com:
Orange wiped out Pac with a tope suicida while Jay White took the fight to Moxley with knife edged chops. Jay rammed Mox into the ring apron. Moxley grabbed Orange and whipped him into the metal ring steps. The bell finally rang as Pac and Jay White entered the ring. Jay blasted Pac with a back breaker, but Mox jumped in with a boot to Jay White to break up the pin attempt. Moxley and White exchanged chops in the center of the ring. Welcome to this review of Nxt: Deadline, the latest pay-per-view/premium live event from the WWE’s third brand and a show that features the culmination of the “Iron Survivor Challenge” tournament that has taken place over the past few weeks. Let’s see what went down on the show!
Match #1: Men’s Iron Survivor Challenge – Winner: Oba Femi The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Eddy Thorpe was unable to compete due to not being medically cleared, and it opened the door for The Ruler of Nxt to walk out of Minneapolis as the Iron Survivor. Wes Lee and Je’Von Evans kicked off the bout, and it resulted in The Cardiac Kid putting his foot on the ropes to steal a fall just before Nathan Frazer entered the fray. As unscripted TV execs and producers breathe their way through an industry slowdown, Magnolia Network president Allison Page has turned her attention towards harnessing the channel’s “evolving” streaming audience.
“I think of it not just as a contraction, but an evolution to whatever the new world will be — I don’t think we’re all the way there yet, but it’s clear that the methods and models of 10 years ago don’t work in the same way,” Page told TheWrap for this week’s Office With a View series. “At HGTV, we could make 10 new pilots, and one or two of them would turn into series that came back again and again … It’s harder to build in linear now, with so much of a move to streaming.”
Whereas loyal home improvement fans know their go-to cable channels like the back of their hand, Page noted that while...

Chris Pratt’s church was acting anti-lgbtqia+? ( Photo Credit – Instagram )
Remember when Chris Pratt’s church was accused of being anti-lgbtq+? That got messy. It all started when Elliot Page (of Juno and Inception fame) put Pratt on blast. On The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Pratt spoke about his spiritual side, and Page had none of it. Page took to Twitter, saying, “But his church is infamously anti-lgbtq, so maybe address that too?”
He addressed the claims head-on on Ig, stating, “It’s suggested I belong to an ‘anti-lgbtq’ church—nothing could be further from the truth. My church welcomes everyone.”
But for the longest time, people thought the Passengers star was tight with Hillsong Church—the controversial megachurch that’s been called out for its not-so-friendly LGBTQ+ stance. But Pratt shut that rumor down real fast. “I never went to Hillsong. I’ve never actually been to Hillsong.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness might not have received top compliments from critics, but we cannot disagree that it brought us the baddest version of Elizabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff aka Scarlett Witch. Obsessed with bringing her family back, Wanda turns to dark magic to wander through universes.

With the Darkhold, she was able to transfer her consciousness to a counterpart of herself in other worlds and bend them to their will, even if it meant turning the mighty Illuminati into pasta. Now, a new theory suggests that Wanda might not be the first Marvel character to have dreamwalked in the superhero universe.

We're inching closer to the finish line on HBO’s The Penguin, the limited series spinoff to Matt Reeves’ The Batman. Each week, as we learn more about the crime world of Gotham and the villains who inhabit it, we also dig deeper into the supporting characters who impact the leads, such as Oz Cobb’s (Colin Farrell) mother Francis (Deirdre O'Connell). What makes Oz such a great character is how complicated he is; not only is he ruthless and conniving, but he's also awkward, insecure, and needs reassurance from his mom.
We get to know Francis a little bit throughout The Penguin, and while she might have a limited role, O'Connell’s performance does a lot of heavy lifting when it comes to explaining why Oz is the way he is. I had the pleasure of catching up with the actress at New York Comic Con earlier this month,...

Elliot Page has been enjoying an envious career in Hollywood for decades, following his appearance in the X-Men movies, as well as Christopher Nolan’s Inception. Jimmy Page and Gibson have unveiled the 1964 Sj-200 and 1964 Sj-200 Collector’s Edition signature model acoustic guitars.
Crafted by the luthiers of the Gibson Custom Shop in Bozeman, Montana, the new signature models are replicas of the Sj-200 acoustic guitar that Page played on Led Zeppelin’s self-titled debut album. He was also seen playing an Sj-200 when he performed “White Summer/Black Mountain Side” during a rare solo TV appearance on the “Julie Felix Show” on April 26th, 1970.

Match #1: The Rascalz def. Gallus The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Wes Lee, Trey Miguel and Zach Wentz were victorious in their first match together in Nxt, taking down Gallus in Six-Man Tag Team action. The speedy Rascalz kept Gallus off-balance to begin the match, but the power of Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey and Wolfgang leveled the playing field. Out of nowhere, Vic Joseph innocuously said Joe Hendry’s name and he appeared, much to the delight of the Nxt Universe, and the Tna star joined the Nxt commentary team for the match. When the action continued, Lee used a huge stomp from the top rope to score the win.
My Score: 4 out of 5 Match #2: Je’Von Evans def. Brooks Jensen The following is courtesy of wwe.

Just a few weeks after Phish wrap up their summer tour with a four-night stand at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado, Trey Anastasio will celebrate his 60th birthday. That’s a heavy moment for some people, but Anastasio says he couldn’t be happier about it.
“Maybe this is going to sound strange, but I really like it,” Anastasio says. “It’s like something really amazing is happening, where I’m not part of the scramble anymore. It gives me the opportunity to observe, and enjoy.

Steve Blackman, co-creator of The Umbrella Academy, is denying allegations of “toxic, bullying, manipulative and retaliatory behavior” while serving as showrunner on the hit Netflix sci-fi drama.
The allegations by 12 former writers and support staffers on the show were detailed in a January 2023 human resources complaint, according to a report in Rolling Stone. They include a female writing team, one of whom was a new mother who returned from leave a month before her contract ended. When the writers room was extended for an additional 10 weeks to complete the season, the female writing team’s contract, according to show sources cited by Rolling Stone, was not extended.
A spokesman for Blackman told Rolling Stone, Black worked with UCP’s Hr department to ensure the women’s contracts were concluded “in full compliance with all policies and regulations,” and the decision was “solely based on performance and budget.” Blackman also denied any other allegations of retaliation.

Anthony and Kate's limited screen time in Bridgerton season 3 was frustrating. The married couple's story was poorly done and rushed, with major developments neglected. It's uncertain if Anthony and Kate will return in season 4, but Bridgerton is better with them in it.
Bridgerton season 3 revolved around the blossoming relationship between Colin and Penelope (which had been slowly building since season 1), and while Colin and Penelope's romance was well done and exciting, I couldn't help but be disappointed by Anthony and Kate's arc in the episodes. The Netflix historical romance television series is based on Julia Quinn's Bridgerton book series, with each season following one of the novels. Bridgerton season 1 brought the first book to life and depicted Daphne and Simon's love story, while season 2 was based on the second novel and followed Anthony and Kate's romance.

Bridgerton season 3 focuses on new storylines, proving it's bigger than just Simon and Daphne's romance. Season 2 thrived without Reg-Jean Page, showcasing Anthony and Kate's chemistry and the ensemble cast. Simon's absence in future seasons won't hinder Bridgerton's success, allowing for other characters to shine.

Bridgerton season 3 will be focusing on the Colin/Penelope storyline that has been building since season 1, and its trajectory confirms that actor Reg-Jean Page as Simon is no longer needed. Netflix's most-anticipated series of the year, Bridgerton season 3, is right around the corner, putting excitement at an all-time high, however, there are still questions about the new season that need answering, including Phoebe Dynevor's absence. Back in 2020, when Bridgerton first premiered, British actress Phoebe Dynevor was the face of the series as Daphne Bridgerton. She was the first Bridgerton family member to get a season, and arguably, is part of why the series blew up the way it did. However, two seasons later, Dynevor is nowhere to be found and fans want to know why.
As far as promotion for Bridgerton season 3 goes, it quickly became clear to audiences that Phoebe Dynevor would not be appearing in Bridgerton season 3. Where all the other Bridgerton siblings, Anthony, Benedict, Colin, Eloise, Francesca, Hyacinth, and Gregory, were present, Daphne was glaringly absent. Elliot Page criticized Canada’s rollback of LGBTQ rights on the stage of the Juno Awards in Halifax, Nova Scotia on Sunday night.
“We are at a time in history where the rights of LGBTQ2+ people are being revoked, restricted and eliminated throughout the world, and the effects are devastating,” Page, a transgender Halifax native, said in a speech presenting twin singer-songwriters Tegan and Sara with the Junos’ humanitarian award. Page praised the work of the Tegan and Sara Foundation for 2Slgbtq+ youth, supporting health care services to youth programs. Earlier in the week, he said at BFI Flare, London’s LGBTQ film festival, that “30% of young people identify as LGBTQ,” referring to a survey released earlier this year about Gen Z adults in the U.S. “So I’m sorry, but this is not niche.”

Earlier in the week, he said at BFI Flare, London’s LGBTQ film festival, that “30% of young people identify as LGBTQ,” referring to a survey released earlier this year about Gen Z adults in the U.S. “So I’m sorry, but this is not niche.”

Elliot Page came to the Junos Awards on Sunday night to denounce a rollback of LGBTQ2+ rights after the Umbrella Academy star came out as transgender and nonbinary at the end of 2020.
“We are at a time in history where the rights of LGBTQ2+ people are being revoked, restricted and eliminated throughout the world, and the effects are devastating,” Page said when citing the work by the Tegan and Sara Foundation to support and build social change for trans and queer youth at the Junos in his hometown of Halifax, Nova Scotia.
“If the world was not so hostile to LGBTQ2+ people, we would see ourselves purely as musicians,” Sara Quin, one half of the Canadian indie pop musicians Tegan and Sara, told the Juno audience. She called out the province of Alberta for recently proposing to restrict health care for transgender youth, including halting access to hormone therapy for children aged 15 and under.

“Close to You” marks a reintroduction for Elliot Page, a screen presence at once warmly familiar and sharply redefined, finally established on his own terms. In his first film role since coming out as a trans man, the actor has evidently brought much of his own identity and experience to this sensitively observed story of a trans man cagily reunited with his family after a five-year period of estrangement. But Page’s performance isn’t moving merely for whatever parallels it might hold to his life: Rather, it’s a reminder of what a deft and perceptive actor he can be, capable of both naked emotional candor and acidic wit — both assets to a script that sometimes errs on the side of caution.

One of 2024’s obsessions is “Feud: “Capote vs. the Swans.” The FX on Hulu limited series revolves around the best-selling novelist Truman Capote‘s friendship with several of the highest of New York’s society women include Babe Paley, Slim Keith and Lee Radziwill, the sister of Jackie Kennedy Onassis. The women treat him as a sort of father confessor, but when he publishes an excerpt from what he considers his will be his masterwork “Answered Prayers” in Esquire — a thinly veiled account of their lives and secrets –they feel betrayed and turn their back on their once trusted friend. He spends the rest of his life trying to get back into their good graces.
Everyone knows Capote wrote “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” and his superb “In Cold Blood” and was a witty albeit inebriated guest on countless talk shows, but how much do you really know about him?

Grant Page, the Australian stunt icon who performed in and coordinating stunts for the original Mad Max, sequel Beyond Thunderdome, the upcoming prequel Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga and more than 100 other films and TV series, died Thursday in a car crash. He was 85.
His son, Leroy Page, told Daily Mail Australia that his father hit a tree while he was driving near his home in Kendall, New South Wales. “He died in very high spirits, and he was very motivated,” the younger Page told the paper. “He was very happy.”
A legend of Aussie cinema, Page worked with his Oscar-winning countryman George Miller on the 1979 action classic Mad Max, which introduced the world to Mel Gibson. He performed and served as stunt coordinator on that gas-guzzling post-apocalyptic thriller as well as its 1985 second sequel Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome, which also starred Tina Turner. Elliot Page has taken aim at the notion that queer films only have a small audience.
Speaking at the BFI Flare, London’s LGBTQ film festival, the actor claimed that “30% of young people identify as LGBTQ,” referring to a survey released earlier this year about Gen Z adults in the U.S. “So I’m sorry, but this is not niche.”
Page was in London with his latest feature “Close to You,” which had its European premiere at the BFI Flare festival on Thursday. The film — from writer-director Dominic Savage — sees Page play a man who meets an old school friend with whom he once had deep feelings for while traveling to see to see his family in small-town Canada, a trip that also marks his first time returning home since his transition.

On Thursday, Elliot Page brought the European premiere of Close to You to BFI Flare, the London Lgbtqia+ film festival, in a special presentation. On Friday, the star spoke at the British capital’s Southbank Centre about the movie, written and directed by Dominic Savage (I Am…), Hollywood and how it can be “pretty toxic,” his career, his coming out, and why the label “niche” doesn’t apply to the LGBTQ+ community.
“Thirty percent of young people identify as LGBTQ+, so I’m sorry, this is not niche,” Page said to much applause. “That really, really irks me. If you told really specific stories about cis-het people, I’m not calling that plot niche.”
Asked about Hollywood and its challenges, Page said: “Obviously, there are great people in Hollywood. It’s more the model. It’s a system, and it’s pretty toxic. Those were just a lot of my experiences.

Devilishly cheeky and highly intelligent, the Mad Max stuntman always put on a show – even when just driving you to the Rsl
Grant Page, Australia’s most legendary movie stuntman, has passed away age 85. He had a literal and metaphorical explosive impact on our national cinema, his legacy forged in the fires of the Ozploitation movement, his spectacular oeuvre written in tyre streaks and burn marks. If you’ve ever seen somebody in an Ozploitation movie running around on fire or hurtling themselves off a bridge, there’s a good chance it was him.
The most famous film Page worked on – as lead stuntman and stunt coordinator – was 1979’s Mad Max. He performed several of the film’s legendary stunts and, during production, collided with a large semi trailer while riding a motorbike. He ended up in hospital with its leading lady, both of them suffering broken femurs and multiple fractures.

Jimmy Page and Gibson have teamed up for the 1969 Eds-1275 Doubleneck Collector’s Edition guitar.
A recreation of Page’s iconic doublenecked guitar, the new signature model is a holy grail replica for both Led Zeppelin fans and guitar collectors.
Only 50 of the instruments were made using Gibson’s 3D scanning technology and ultra-precise Murphy Lab aging techniques, essentially cloning Page’s original, right down to the exact playing wear — every knick and scratch — and sonic characteristics.
Each axe comes hand-signed and physically played by Page himself using a Herco Flex pick that is included with each specific serialized guitar. In addition, a collection of ephemera curated by Page is housed inside the special “Zoso” hardcase: a “Certificate of Authenticity Book” with a photo taken by Barrie Wentzell; a wooden pick display for the Herco pick; a premium cherry/black leather Strap and vintage replica strap; Schaller strap locks; an...

If you want to see a wild midnight movie, there’s a little-known Australian movie called Stunt Rock, which might blow your mind. In it, an Australian stuntman named Grant Page (playing himself) visits Los Angeles to do stunts for a TV show and hooks up with a heavy metal band named Sorcery (the band is like Kiss if they also did magic). It has many fans, including Eli Roth, who used one of Sorcery’s songs in his Death Wish remake and is prominently featured in an incredible documentary about Australian exploitation films (Ozploitation) called Not Quite Hollywood.
More than anything, this documentary was a loving tribute to Page, who did incredible stunts for almost every cool action film shot in Australia over the last fifty years, including Mad Max, and Road Games (in which he played the mostly unseen villain). Sadly, Mark Hartley, the director of Not Quite Hollywood,...

Elliot Page heads to the U.K on Thursday to open the BFI Flare, London’s Lgbtqia+ film festival, for the European premiere of “Close to You.”
Written and directed by Dominic Savage (behind the recent acclaimed “I Am…” anthology series that has starred the likes of Kate Winslet and Letitia Wright), the film — which bowed in Toronto — marks Page’s first feature since 2017. It’s a return to the big screen he says “felt amazing,” allowing him to experience the “joy of what it means to get to create and being creative.”
It was also an acting experience unlike anything Page had undertaken before, with much of “Close to You” improvised. Savage claims that the lack of scripted dialogue made the on-screen interactions appear “as natural as possible,” although Page admits it was, at least initially, “terrifying.”

‘Drag Me to Hell’ – New Australian Blu-ray Celebrates 15 Years of Sam Raimi’s Horror Return [Review]
Of all the masters of horror that helped to reshape the genre as we know it in the ’70s and ’80s, none were more successful in branching out and achieving commercial success within the studio system than Sam Raimi. His Spider-Man trilogy laid the groundwork for the influx of comic book movies that would follow, but he was eager to return to his roots following the third installment’s turbulent production.
Armed with $30 million and complete creative control, Raimi dusted off a story he wrote with elder brother and frequent collaborator Ivan Raimi back in the ’90s to make his triumphant return to horror with Drag Me to Hell in 2009. The Raimi broters seemingly drew inspiration from 1957’s Night of the Demon but injected it with a heavy dose of Evil Dead DNA, most closely evoking Evil Dead 2‘s cartoonish blend of over-the-top splatter and tongue-in-cheek humor.

Oliver Jackson-Cohen’s string of Netflix hits includes 2018’s “The Haunting of Hill House” and 2020’s “The Haunting of Bly Manor,” two Mike Flanagan-created horror series that garnered the 37-year-old actor a global popularity he’d never seen prior to starring in Netflix originals. He parlayed the success of these series into a film career that spanned both streaming and theatrical hits (Universal’s 2020 reimagining of “The Invisible Man”).
But is Jackson-Cohen a star? The actor recently joined The Independent for an interview where he briefly touched upon life as a performer who is “Netflix famous,” which he basically summed up as star power that lacks any kind of actual longevity cause it’s always on to the next.
“[Being] Netflix famous…It’s quite an interesting thing,” he said. “You’re the most famous person in the world for a while and then the next show comes along and that completely takes over.

One of the most highly anticipated projects in the MCU pipeline is ‘Daredevil: Born Again.’ The series generated considerable buzz upon its early development announcement, but fans were taken aback when it was revealed that it wouldn’t serve as a direct continuation of the previous ‘Daredevil’ show on Netflix; instead, it was positioned as a soft reboot. Disappointment ensued as fans learned that several episodes would showcase Daredevil without his iconic suit. The show aimed to explore the legal drama genre, delving into Daredevil’s life post-vigilante era as he tried to move beyond his past, mirroring the journey of Wilson Fisk, aka Kingpin.
The news that Karen and Foggy wouldn’t be returning to the series was a significant blow to fans who had grown attached to these characters and witnessed their pivotal roles in Daredevil’s character development. Subsequently, the studio announced the abandonment of the current show,...

Penta El Zero Miedo wiped out Hangman Page with a Sling Blade. Hangman retaliated with a fallaway slam and then a standing shooting star press for a near fall. Penta El Zero Miedo hit a leg drop from off the bottom rope for a two-count on Page.

Before the pandemic, it was announced that “The Saint” was getting a reboot with Dexter Fletcher attached to direct and Chris Pine set to star. The film was stalled, and in 2021, both of those guys left and actor Regé-Jean Page came aboard to star. Since then, we haven’t really gotten much news about it. But more than two years after Page’s first involvement, we finally have a director for the upcoming action film.

It’s been a hot minute since we heard an update about an upcoming remake of The Saint starring Regé-Jean Page. Still, Deadline is here to blow the dust off this project with word that Doug Liman is officially directing The Saint remake. In addition to his starring role, Page will executive produce with Lorenzo Dibonaventura, Brad Krevoy, and the late Robert Evans.
Plot details for The Saint remake remain a mystery. However, Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani are working on the script. The Saint is based on the 1920s book series that follows Simon Templar, also known as The Saint. Often described as a Robin Hood-like criminal and thief for hire, Simon can usually be found traveling the globe and looking for adventure. As I said, plot details on the new project are confidential at this time, though sources indicate that the team is working around the clock to reimagine the character.

Paramount has signed “The Bourne Identity” filmmaker Doug Liman to direct the upcoming crime thriller “The Saint,” which will star Regé-Jean Page in a new imagining of the 1920s book series created by Leslie Charteris.

Page will also serve as an executive producer on the film, with Lorenzo Di Bonaventura and Brad Kervoy. The late Paramount Pictures chief Robert Evans, who died in 2019, is also listed as a posthumous producer. “Black Adam” screenwriters Rory Haines and Sohrab...
