Regina is a Russian-German actress and producer based in Los Angeles. Her love for the craft developed early while spending countless hours beside her dad, Valerij Klabukov - an award-winning documentary filmmaker, at the West Siberian Film Studio in Novosibirsk.
The family moved to Hamburg, Germany when Regina was nine. Regina started acting and modeling at the age of 16 and developed a particular interest in theater and improvisational work. After obtaining her B.A. in Media and Communication at the University of Hamburg, two years in advertising as a commercial content producer followed. Her passion for storytelling and desire to work on English language films brought her to London, where she got her MA in Film and TV Production at Royal Holloway. Her graduation film "All Bets Are Off" was inspired by Cassavetes' methods and his use of improvisation as a rehearsal strategy to create "real" characters embodied by "more inventive, less predictable dialogue and performances." (Viera, M. (1990): 'The Works of John Cassavetes: Script, Performance Style, and Improvisation' Journal of Film and Video, Vol. 42)
Since then, Regina has produced several feature and short films and directed a web series and a docudrama. She has worked in multiple countries and won a variety of international awards. Her short film "Laws Of The Game" was nominated in the Dare Strand - Short Film Competition as part of the Official Selection at the BFI London Film Festival in 2017.
Her latest film, the action-thriller "Cleaner", will be released on Feb 21, 2025. Regina worked not only as an associate producer on the movie but also played the part of Gaby Tressiter, a social media mogul who becomes one of the six VIP hostages fighting for their lives.
