Luke Zammit is a filmmaker from Malta. He earned his Master of Fine Arts degree in Film Production from Full Sail University and was named Valedictorian of his graduating class. Luke is passionate about the film industry because it allows him to be creative and tell engaging stories. He is able to do this by writing and directing his own short films.
His biggest achievement was writing and directing 'Magic Mouse' his thesis film. He led a cast and crew of over 70 with an estimated production budget of $27,000. The short film was nominated for a student Emmy (2017) in the best comedy category and has won several awards including a Bronze Telly Award, Golden Knight Award, Winner of the Best 'Long Form' and 'Graphics' at the Suncoast Student Production Awards together with thirteen other prestigious film festival selections and 8 wins.
Magic Mouse also led Luke to be nominated in four categories for the Artist of the Year award in his home country of Malta. Magic Mouse went on to be released in Maltese cinemas showing before every showing of 'Deadpool 2'.
Luke is now working at Stargate Studios Malta, after nearly two year's in the Visual Effect Department having worked on his TV shows such as 'Medici' (Italy/USA) and 'Sabuesos' (Spain) he has moved onto the role of Creative Director, creating original, fun content together with the awesome team at the Malta studio.
