Omar Dzlieri is a writer/director from Philadelphia of Russian-Jewish descent.
In 2019 20th Century FOX announced they were moving forward into development on a half-hour sitcom based off a script and treatment from Omar and writer Sarah Adina with Gaspin Media called 'Adapted'. A semi-biographical story based off of Omar's youth where he was adopted and raised by his neighbors after some troubling events. 'Adapted' would explore his experiences of growing up in a black family as a white Russian Jew in the middle of your adolescence.
In 2021, Omar completed his feature film directorial debut titled 'MICerz' - based off of an original screenplay he wrote. 'MICerz' has won multiple awards and nominations during its (still in-progress) festival run (08/2021).
