Kristen Stewart was asked not to hold hands with her girlfriend ( Photo Credit – Instagram )
Kristen Stewart wasn’t just Bella Swan in Twilight—her love life was a whole drama series. Everyone kept tabs from her on-and-off thing with Robert Pattinson to her later flings with Stella Maxwell and St. Vincent. But here’s the wild part: they told her to hide holding hands with her girlfriend in public if she wanted a shot at a Marvel movie.
During an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Stewart alluded: “If you just, like, do yourself a favor and don’t go out holding your girlfriend’s hand in public, you might get a Marvel movie.” Her response? “I don’t want to work with people like that.” Respect.
It wasn’t just about holding hands. Hollywood wanted her to pick a side—“lesbian” or “heterosexual.” Kristen wasn’t down for that. “People...

Lucy Liu is game to listen to ideas for a possible Charlie’s Angels reboot and reprise her role of Alex Munday.
In a new interview, Liu said she was open to revisiting the character she played in the 2000 film directed by McG and in which she co-starred alongside Drew Barrymore and Cameron Diaz.
“I don’t hear much of anything until it actually happens,” Liu told Entertainment Tonight when asked if she had heard anything about a possible reboot.
Although there are no set plans to reboot the franchise, if there were, Liu said, “I’m never going to say no to that. But I would be surprised to hear anything that gets done or undone. You just never know until it happens.”

Elizabeth Banks takes charge and delivers in Skincare, a Hollywood-set psychological thriller that its feature-debuting director, Austin Peters, likes to label a “sunshine noir”. Certainly it has elements of the classic darkly lit black and white film noirs set in L.A. in the 40’s, but this one takes place directly in the bright sunlit corners of Southern California where facialists are definitely a thing.
It is a fictional story, very loosely inspired apparently by a real case involving aesthetician Dawn DaLuise who was accused of putting out a hit on a rival facialist in 2014 and did wind up doing some prison time before being acquitted. There is no mention of her or that, but apparently screenwriters Deering Regan & Sam Freilich, and Peters were “inspired” enough to use it as a tipping point. It is a completely fictionalized character Banks plays, but her transformation feels close to real life despite...

In fact, she even said that she “hated” the process.

Kristen Stewart has become one of our most celebrated actors. It's an admittedly surprising outcome, given that her big break came in the YA blockbuster "Twilight." Ever since that saga ended though, Stewart has been very picky about the blockbuster films she's taken part in. In 2019, she decided to have a bite at that apple once more with "Charlie's Angels." The movie didn't perform particularly well at the time -- and now, Stewart has revealed that she did not enjoy making the reboot either.
Variety recently sat down with Stewart in honor of her upcoming film "Love Lies Bleeding," which made /Film's most anticipated movies of 2024. During the sit-down, Steward was fed lines from her career and at one point one from "Charlie's Angels" came up in the form of, "Did you know that it takes men an additional seven seconds to perceive a woman as a threat compared to a man?...

The director told The New York Times last year that she wished the film’s marketing “had not been presented as just for girls,” but now she told Rolling Stone that’s the only perspective the media was interested in perpetuating anyway.
“So much of the story that the media wanted to tell about ‘Charlie’s Angels’ was that it was some feminist manifesto,” Banks said. “People kept saying, ‘You’re the first female director of ‘Charlie’s Angels!” And I was like, ‘They’ve only done a TV show and McG’s movies … what are you talking about? There’s not this long legacy.’ I just loved the franchise. There was not this gendered agenda from me.

Charlie’s Angels and its cast was a phenomenon in the 1970s. The TV series ran for five seasons from 1976-1981. It was produced by Aaron Spelling, who also created hits such as The Love Boat, Dynasty, Beverly Hills 90210, and Melrose Place.
The show was immensely popular with viewers but got mixed reviews from critics. Some called it “Jiggle TV” because it emphasized the sex appeal of its female cast.
Which Charlie’s Angels cast members are still alive?

Taylor stars as Shaw Landon, who has loved Rule Archer (Stokes) from the moment she laid eyes on him. Movie monsters are incredible. The greats of Rick Baker, Phil Tippett, and Greg Nicotero — among many others — have rendered screens both small and large as monstrous gateways to unabashed nightmare fuel. Whether culled from mythology or the classics of the genre, these creations are a tentpole of the enduring monster movie or creature feature. However conceptualized, movie monsters are as much a part of what movies innately are as anything else.
Every year brings new monsters to the table. Some are relegated to indie VOD offerings, some theatrical bows, and some in a weird space between. Here, we'll be taking a look at the 10 scariest movie monsters of 2022. These beasties proved frighteningly fun; some rendered with computer effects, some conceived practically, and all stupendously scary. They're destined to take a bite out of you.

Initially apprehensive when her boss insists she meet with one of his most important clients, single mom Cherie (Ella Balinska) is relieved and excited when she meets charismatic Ethan (Pilou Asbæk). The influential businessman defies expectations and sweeps Cherie off her feet. But at the end of the night, when the two are alone together, he reveals his true, violent nature. Battered and terrified, she flees for her life, beginning a relentless game of cat-and-mouse with a bloodthirsty assailant hell-bent on her utter destruction.

Run Sweetheart Run, a feminist horror film, follows the story of Cherie as her life is threatened while on a blind date.
Ella Balinska, who plays Cherie, recently sat down with uInterview founder Erik Meers to discuss putting a female lens on a genre that usually focuses on the male perspective.
“[Director] Shana [Feste] can speak to this better than I, but I do know she wrote this from a place of experience,” Balinska revealed. “I think she wrote it in three days. It was a complete catharsis for her when she wrote it and there were so many things that happened to this poor character that I think every audience member can pull from. She gets her period in the film and that otherwise would be portrayed as something which is laughed at or displayed with a slightly more negative light.”

Pilou Asbæk has quickly become one of those actors that many might not immediately know by name, but certainly remember for his villainous characters. From Euron Grayjoy in "Game of Thrones" to Wafner in "Overlord," he's gotten quite good at portraying characters you are either terrified of or want to punch in the face.
When I spoke to him to promote his latest film, "Run Sweetheart Run," it turns out that he loves these types of roles, and this latest one is certainly no different. Asbæk plays Ethan, a mysterious man who meets an aspiring lawyer named Cherie (Ella Balinska) after an internal scheduling error. At least, that's what Cherie thinks. While the two initially hit it off, Cherie realizes that there is something far more sinister about Ethan than he lets on, resulting in a wild chase throughout Los Angeles. Before you turn on the film on Prime Video,...

When you hear the premise to the new Prime Video and Blumhouse film "Run Sweetheart Run," you probably don't think of romance. However, that is apparently what sparked on its set during filming back in 2019 -- at least, according to star Ella Balinska. We recently spoke to her about her new horror film, which is now streaming, and she revealed that her best friend being on set helped her prepare for the exhaustive role.
"[Here's] a behind-the-scenes thing," she told me. "Whilst I was running for my life on set, she actually now met her fiancé from shooting this movie."
This is a far cry from the encounter Balinska's character, Cherie, has in "Run Sweetheart Run." When she takes her boss's place in a client meeting, she eventually becomes the target of the mysterious Ethan (Pilou Asbæk), forcing her to travel on foot throughout Los Angeles. When "Run Sweetheart Run" premiered at 2020's Sundance Film Festival, it made a splash for its terrifying and unique take on post-#MeToo America. Not only was it a scathing look at how dangerously misogyny can be wielded by abusive men, but despite the high-level concept, it felt deeply personal. That was intentional, as co-writer and director Shana Feste revealed in 2020 that the film was partially based on her own experience with assault.
So how does a director turn a traumatic event into a high-speed popcorn flick? We sat down with Feste for a candid and enlightening interview about the real-world horrors of "Run Sweetheart Run" and how making the film was a cathartic and exhilarating experience.
'I'm Glad It's Turned Into Something That Is Really Fun And Enjoyable And Wild'
You've previously talked about how personal this movie is for you and how it was partially inspired by your own experience.

A woman is hunted through the streets of LA in a silly Amazon thriller that offers some low-stakes fun before over-extending itself
In writer-director Shana Feste’s muddled midnight movie Run Sweetheart Run, life is a string of misogynistic slights for Cherie (Ella Balinska), a young single mother trying to make it at a male-dominated, female-assisted Los Angeles law firm. From unwanted groping on the bus to inappropriate behaviour at work, the men surrounding her are as blunt as they are unashamed of it, a familiar-to-many daily grind she’s accustomed to yet aggrieved with.
When a scheduling mishap leaves her boss double-booked for the night, Cherie is asked to take his place meeting a client, scrambling together a last-minute babysitter and a last-minute outfit. Cherie is pleasantly surprised when she meets Ethan (Borgen and Game of Thrones alum Pilou Asbæk), who is handsome and friendly, a balm after yet another day of shitty men,...

Plot: After what begins as the perfect first date with a dreamy bachelor, a single mom finds herself hunted by a seemingly unstoppable assailant in this terrifying dark thriller.
Review: Run Sweetheart Run takes the idea of a date gone terribly wrong and turns up the dial as far it’ll go. It’s a cool setup and there are plenty of interesting ways to take the story. Whether or not they did that will be up to the individual because I think this will be a divisive one. There are some very interesting concepts here but there are also very tired ones. So tolerance for such things will be a big factor going into this one.

While “Magic Mike’s Last Dance” is a gender-swapped “Pretty Woman” and “American Gigolo” has been reimagined for 2022, Ryan Murphy had his own take on a sex worker series.

“I remember going to lunch with him at the Ivy, and we order, and I said, ‘So what’s the show?’ And he’s like, ‘Well…'” Stamos said during SiriusXM’s “The Jess Cagle Show.” “It was like, ‘Ok, you play a male hooker and you sleep with the husband, sleep with the wife, and you kind of work on their marriage.'”
Stamos responded to Murphy, saying, “I’m like, ‘Uh-huh.’ Then he said, ‘And plus, you have a really cute Black guy and there’s a cute blond guy. You...

While the road to getting here was a lengthy one, we have finally been given our first proper look at the 2020 Sundance darling "Run Sweetheart Run." After being acquired by Amazon Studios shortly after the Utah film festival ended, it and its streaming platform, Prime Video, have been oddly silent about the film's release. However, we won't have to wait much longer to watch this buzzy mixture of social horror and survival thriller.
The trailer starts off nicely enough, with our leads Cherie (Ella Balinska) and Ethan (Pilou Asbæk) having a nice first blind date. Unfortunately, when it's time for them to reconvene at Ethan's swanky mansion, he reveals his true sinister nature. It sadly still feels as topical...
