Matthew B. Henry was born in Philadelphia, and raised in Southern New Jersey. He has played multiple sports throughout his life and started training in martial arts at age of 12. Originally beginning with Taekwondo, where he earned his red belt, and was invited to be a member of the school's demo team. Later his training would include Boxing, Muay Thai, Jiu Jitsu, and Krav Maga. At the age of 16, Matthew was invited to take part his first play for his local church called Confused World. He has been fascinated with acting ever since, but did not decide to pursue a career in acting, but instead enlisted in the U.S. Air Force, and served as a Security Forces member. It was after an assignment brought him to Los Angeles that he finally decided to chase his dream. He enrolled in the Santa Clarita School of Performing Arts, would start hitting the audition trail, and would land his first movie role in his first film tilted "Memories".
