Other champions in the All Stars 5 cast include Ride or Dies star Devin Walker, who teams up with Leroy Garrett, and War of the Worlds winner Turabi “Turbo” Camkiran with Nany Gonzalez.

Three individuals won a season together: Ashley Kelsey, Sam McGinn, and Frank Sweeney.

Paulie Calafiore blasted The Challenge’s Karma Vote for its impact on the Battle of the Eras final.

According to the two-time MTV finalist, the Season 40 twist “slighted” one competitor in the finish and “tarnished” another’s win.

Competitors eliminated throughout the season participated in the Karma Vote. They gave each of the remaining cast members one to five points based on how they felt about them.

A one was the lowest score someone could give, while a five was the highest. These scores were factored into how competitors finished in the final standings.

During the final, Jordan Wiselely dominated on the men’s side. The Karma Vote didn’t matter as he won his fifth Challenge championship, but the women’s side featured a closer battle.

Jenny West finished atop the leaderboard, followed by Michele Fitzgerald. However, the Karma Vote dropped Michele to third, giving her $50,000 less prize money.

Cara Maria Sorbello is coming off her exciting return to The Challenge, with appearances in the All Stars 4 spin-off and MTV’s Battle For a New Champion and Battle of the Eras.

Cara Maria Sorbello‘s dream of a fourth championship came to an end on Wednesday night’s episode of The Challenge: Battle of the Eras. The Era II veteran was taken out by Era III’s Tori Deal in an elimination that lasted nearly three hours, treading water in the ocean off the coast of the Philippines. It was the last elimination before the this season’s epic final.

“I’m stubborn and I just wanted to survive,” she tells Gold Derby. (Watch Cara Maria’s full exit interview above.) “I wanted to make it through and I wanted to get to that final. Everything happens the way it’s meant to and, at the end of the day, Tori just pulled it out. She had a great season and she definitely earned it.”

With The Challenge: Battle of the Eras premiere, viewers saw cast member reunions, new meetings, and renewed rivalries.

Some of the biggest feuds and rivalries came from the most recent Era teams, including Era 4.

The 10-person crew included friends-turned-rivals Olivia Kaiser and Nurys Mate.

Theo Campbell and Paulie Calafiore are also part of the crew.

In the first episode, host Tj Lavin unveiled a colossal twist: an early batch of eight eliminations, called the Era Invitational, would significantly reduce the cast.

Each squad would lose one man and one woman, based on the worst-performing competitors and whoever the daily challenge winners opted to send in against them.

That immediately set the stage for potential showdowns between the previously mentioned Era 4 stars.

Amanda Garcia has seemingly turned over a new leaf upon her arrival for The Challenge: Battle of the Eras.

Her returns come after a brief hiatus of a few MTV seasons, as she last appeared on Spies, Lies & Allies and got eliminated by rival Tori Deal.

In a Season 40 Launch Special, Amanda is among the featured cast members presented as part of the Era 3 team. However, that team also features Tori.

The Challenge Season 40 will unleash a starstudded lineup of cast members representing the extensive history of MTV’s competition series.

Appropriately named Battle of the Eras, four teams represent four eras, each featuring 10 cast members picked from the show’s 39 seasons.

On Tuesday, the first official trailer for the new season arrived with hard-hitting moments featuring the show’s significant stars.

“We’ve chosen the toughest players in 40 seasons,” host Tj Lavin says as images of the various competitors arrive on-screen.

In the footage, viewers see the 40 stars who will step onto the playing field, including Johnny Bananas, Chris “Ct” Tamburello, Jordan Wiseley, Cara Maria Sorbello, Amanda Garcia, Tori Deal, and Tina Barta.

The all-vets season of “The Challenge” is officially here. In the exclusive first trailer for Season 40, “Battle of the Eras,” host Tj Lavin returns to present new twists and tougher competition than ever.
