Lew Morris was born in Greenville, Texas, but grew up in the neighboring town of Royse City, Texas. He is an only child and is half Asian and half Caucasian. Lew started his entertainment career performing live music from the age of 8 years old. Professionally trained on piano, he moved to guitar and has performed and recorded with several different bands and musical acts including Ghoultown, Liquor Goat, Coilback, Junk and Love Sick Drug (along side actor Billy Blair and actress Erin Marie Garrett). He also was a former on-air personality for the "The Reckless Rock Radio" show on KNON 89.3 FM (Dallas/Fort Worth, TX). Lew spends time on both sides of the camera, working in Special FX, Production Design and Art Department while also acting and appearing on a variety of shows on video and radio.

In 2019, Lew was one of two DJs in the building when the EF3 tornado hit the KNON studios. Lew was credited for saving the other DJ there by getting him quickly to shelter and was recognized by the station with an award. He also supplied many of the Associated Press photos that were first posted of the damage to the studios.

Before working in TV and Film doing set design and special effects, Lew created and designed many of the scenes and props at the Dallas Scaregrounds haunted house for several years.
