Shane Morrisun is a multi-talented Producer and Director based in Park City, Utah.
Shane started acting as a child in California and landed his first television guest starring role when he was 11 on a series from Willie Aames (Buddy from Charles in Charge) called BibleMan.
He moved to Utah in 1996. He continued with his training and theater work in high school and took film acting classes from UVSC (Now UVU).
Shane took a break from acting in 2003 to support his growing family. He returned to acting in 2015, starting with a few background roles in various feature films and television, getting an agent and auditioning again.
Shortly after, Shane started to work as crew on a few local independent films.
He began learning as much as he could about filmmaking by teaching himself through reading books and watching videos online and learning through hands on experience as crew on film sets.
After meeting his partner and writer, Shytei Corellian, he decided to follow through and make his own film (The Wolf)--discovering he had a natural talent both behind the camera and in post production. Shytei wrote a longer version of "The Wolf", with different time periods which became "The Wolves", Shane's sophomore Short film.
Shane has experience in all aspects of filmmaking, and has worked in every department in film production, from Below-the-Line roles such as PA, G&E, Art Department, Sound, Assistant Directing, Script Supervision, and Director of Photography, to Above-the-Line Acting, Directing, and Producing.
He has won numerous awards for his Directorial debut on the short films, "The Wolf" and "The Wolves," as well as for Cinematography on the short film, "Satanico."
He started his own Production company in 2020 called Free Reign Films and a YouTube channel by the same name where he releases short film content. Free Reign Films has several feature films in varying stages of development.
As an up and coming filmmaker, Shane is skilled at developing an idea, enriching and guiding it onto the screen in a capable and efficient manner, with exceptional results. With over 50 film credits, he has developed the ability to stay cool under pressure and quickly think of solutions to any problems that arise.
No matter what is thrown at him, Shane will not only catch it, but improve upon it.
