Shay Rudolph began acting in local musical theatre in her hometown of San Diego, California. Shay had her big break playing "Maya" as a major recurring Guest Star in FOX's "Lethal Weapon" series. Then, she landed the role of "Stacey McGill" in Netflix's reboot of "The Baby-Sitters Club". Stacey is the treasurer and fashionista of the club and is a recent transplant from New York City. The live-action dramedy is based on the beloved Ann M. Martin best-selling book series about a group of friends who start their own babysitting company. The series won an 2 Emmy's for Outstanding Children's Series and Outstanding Writing for a Children's Program.
Shay also successfully co-produced and co-hosted, with Jess Weiner, a series of teen self-help podcasts for American Girl called "Smart Girls Podcast". These podcasts focus on bringing modern day advice to teens through 30-minute episodes ranging from "Friendship Troubles", "Embarrassing Moments" and how to navigate "Drama, Rumors and Secrets".
Shay's upcoming project is co-starring in the film "The Present" as "Emma" along with Greg Kinnear and Isla Fisher.
When Shay isn't acting, she finds passion elsewhere by writing screenplays and playing the piano.
