The Body have announced a new album titled The Crying Out of Things, set to arrive on November 8th via Thrill Jockey. In advance of its release, the experimental metal duo have unveiled the first single, “End of Line.”
The Crying Out of Things marks The Body’s follow-up to 2021’s I’ve Seen All I Need to See, and ninth album overall. Per a press release, “The Crying Out of Things is a culmination of all that The Body have done before, highlighting their mastery of dynamic, monumental music that pushes toward the sound of oblivion.”
Comprised of Chip King and Lee Buford, The Body have garnered wide critical acclaim since forming in Rhode Island 25 years ago. In addition to their own work, they have released a number of collaborative albums, including Orchards of a Futile Heaven with Dis Fig earlier this year.
