Born and raised in Cairo, Egypt, Ayah Samaha is an Egyptian actress of Lebanese origins who has made her mark in the industry through her exquisite performance in several hits including "Paranormal", first Egyptian Netflix original.
Coming from a family that has always embraced art in all its forms-her father was involved in film production and her grandmother was an artist/singer, Samaha was surrounded by her family's support to embark on her own journey to become an actress. Aspiring to sharpen her skills as an actress, Ayah attended several acting workshops with high-profile acting coaches. These include several national and international acting coaches such as Marwa Gebreel, and Gerald James. In 2016, she landed her first role in a film production in director Hadi El Bagoury's blockbuster "Hepta: The Last Lecture". In the same year, she made her foray into a TV drama in "Grand Hotel" by director Mohammad Shaker Khodeir.
Following the massive success of the film and the TV drama, the talented star joined the cast of a string of films and drama hits, including: "Haza Al Masa'a" (2017), "Kaeno Embareh" (2018), "Qabeel" (2019), "Paranormal" (2020). The serial drama was Netflix's first Egyptian-dialect original, and was based on the bestselling novel series of the salient author Ahmed Khaled Tawfeek. The show marks Samaha's breakthrough regionally and internationally, portraying the role of Huwaida.
