TV actor Yash Tonk has joined the cast of the new show ‘Dhruv Tara’ and will be seen playing the role of King Uday Bhaan Singh. With an orthodox mindset, he loves his children and is immensely affectionate towards his daughter Tarapriya.

The actor talked about his role and said: “When I heard this narrative, I was very excited to take it up as I saw myself perfectly fit into the character and the story. I am elated to be playing the role of Uday Bhaan Singh.”

Narayani Shastri of ‘Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’ fame has been roped in for the new show ‘Dhruv Tara- Samay Sadi Se Pare’ featuring Ishaan Dhawan and Rhea Sharma in the lead roles. Narayani, who will be essaying the role of the 17th century queen, Rani Kanupriya, said: “It’s been more than two decades that I have been working in the industry, and I have played numerous roles. In this show, I will be playing the role of Rani Kanupriya, who is a graceful, brave, and thoughtful queen.”

The 44-year-old actress is known for her roles in ‘Piya Ka Ghar’, ‘Namak Haraam’, ‘Rishton Ka Chakravyuh’, ‘Aapki Nazron Ne Samjha’, among others. She further spoke about the traits of her character and how the concept of the show is different and intriguing.

‘Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke’ is expected to continue until the end of the month before it is replaced by ‘Saathiya 2’.

As for Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke, the post Covid time change did not do well for the show. It probably lost its core audience in the time shift. The numbers had dropped post the Covid break!
