Born Marcus Williams, Horus X is a driven film director with a vision for success. Since a child he has always had a passion for being in front of the silver screen and today he lives life trying to get unknown artist, actors and filmmakers known.
After graduating high school in 2015, he set out on a mission to pursue his child hood dream of acting. Finding auditions and representation hard to obtain he was soon influenced by Vin Disel's 1995 short film "Multi-Facial" which then lead him into writing his very first short film in 2017 called "Multi-Talented". With the failure of execution and a chance at Sundance Film Festival screening the film was intitally a fail, however it brought attention to some industry filmmakers like Sundance 2016 winner Jim Cummings & Canadian Director & Cinematographer Clint D'souza who would teach Horus ways to improve his filmmaking and gain recognition.
In 2018, he would go on to win his first award at the Univeristy of Colorado at Colorado Springs for 1st place in the UCCS 14er's film festival with his film "Coming Home" that was based off the inspiration of his grandfathers death the same month. In 2019, Horus & the love of his life Marguerite Crockem would go on to winning a 1st place $500 cash prize at the Washignton State University 48hr Guerilla Film Festival.
Now, Horus started HOTSKAM Visuals under Doris Williams Productions that allows affordable, professional cinematography services to unknown artist and filmmakers to be able to get more independent talent our into the world.
Currently, he is working on his first Feature Film.
