Ye Wang is an accomplished producer and media veteran, with nearly twenty years experience in the movie and media industry. She is the deputy general manager and deputy director of Shanghai International Film & TV Festivals, responsible for overseeing the Golden Goblet Awards, Asian New Talent Awards, SIFF PROJECT and FILM PANORAMA of the Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF), and the Magnolia Award of Shanghai TV Festival. Wang has a proven record of accomplishments in developing and implementing strategic plans for film festivals.
In 2015, she upgraded the Asian New Talent Awards of Shanghai International Film Festival and expanded the category from two to six awards to give new filmmakers more recognition and opportunities. In 2019, she led the launch of SIFF ASIA which combines all the Asian elements of the Shanghai International Film Festival to create a comprehensive industry platform that gathers Asian film talents, encourages project innovation and promotes cooperation.
In addition, she has set up SIFF NEXT, a VC-training program, and integrated it into SIFF PROJECT which supports the career development of new filmmakers. Wang also leads and operates the "SIFF World Express" which selects and recommends annual outstanding Chinese movies and SIFF projects to other international film festivals such as Toronto International Film Festival, Tokyo International Film Festival, International Film Festival & Awards . Macao, JOGJA-NETPAC Asian Film Festival, etc.
As a producer, Wang has worked on a number of commercially successful and critically acclaimed films, and maintains close relationships with leading directors, actors and filmmakers in China.
