With music in over 30 visual media projects, Santiago is experienced in composition, orchestration, music production, editing, mixing and sound design. Born in Peru, Santiago studied music composition in Argentina and film scoring graduate program at UCLA, where he learned from industry professionals such as Jon Kull, Carl Johnson, Fletcher Beasley, Damon Tedesco, Charles Bernstein, Pete Anthony, among others.
Currently based in Los Angeles, Santiago's work encompasses the feature film "If She Screams", and has written music for 6 local and 6 remote short films over the past year, accumulating over 30 film festival selections and awards. Short film "Killing Adam" won Santiago a Best Original Score and Individual Achievement in Sound Design awards. Santiago has also been working remotely for film production company Otro Plan Films in Argentina since 2015, with whom they've participated in film festivals all over the world, winning multiple Best Short Film awards, and currently working towards producing a feature film. Before moving to Los Angeles, Santiago had already worked in over 20 short films as a composer and sound designer.
Besides his career as a composer, Santiago works for artificial intelligence company Amper Music, where he helps recording, editing, designing and programming sample libraries.
