Richard Jeffrey Wolf Sturm is an American actor. He began acting at a young age, showing an interest in film and modeling at the age of 4. His first on-camera was an MTV Television Special shot on 3rd Street Promenade in Santa Monica, CA, as a toddler street dancing. His first film was Good Morning, Beautiful (Short). In 2018 he acted in the film Chaste.
Richard was born in Inverness, Illinois to Parents Sherri (Tyler) and Jeffrey Sturm. He spent his early developmental years in the NW Chicago suburban area of Barrington. He was active in the community and attended early childhood at Countryside Elementary. He had the nickname Jay Leno, because of his extensive Power Wheel collection and garage filled with electric vehicles that he opened frequently to the neighborhood kids to motor around the park.
Richard showed a love for cinema from an early age. He was also inspired by a children's book on Stephen Spielberg. He had watched E.T. and Close Encounters of a Third Kind and was an early Spielberg fan. Following the read, Richard's mother let him use the Sony Digital Handycam, and also helped him duct tape it to a LEGO Star Wars MTT. LEGO had a digital media marketing campaign of a droid army battle and Richard was an early adaptor to homemade LEGO YouTubers - he specifically liked physical comedy and Super Heroes.
Richard was featured in his first short film, Good Morning Beautiful, while living in Minnetrista, MN. His parents enrolled him into acting camps and clinics through the renowned Stages Theatre in MN. Richard didn't return to talking about acting in film until he heard about DC talks of a Nightwing film. He devoted himself to personal health and fitness and lost 50 pounds in three months in preparation for an acting and modeling career. In 2018 he was cast for roles in Chaste the movie, which he ultimately played a church member in The Cinematics production. He auditioned for the movie Soul Drift the summer of 2018. Met with the director Michael Vincent again in March 2019 and has exciting opportunities with Soul Drift and other future feature films.
Richard is active is in his High School's Award Winning Show Choir, Band and Theater programs, and enjoys strength and endurance training, and all forms of the arts. In 2019 he resides in Victoria, MN and Studio City, CA
