Thiago's films are in tune with environmental and Human Rights issues. As a filmmaker, he had the opportunity to get to know people and communities in the far corners of Brazil. His work deals with social injustice, bringing to audiences themes such as the impacts of hydroelectric, eviction of traditional people from their land and modern slavery.
He had lived in Mato Grosso (Midwest Brazilian) for seven years and developed an expertise in socioenvironmental issues. In 2011 he founded a production company specialized in sustainable issues: Forest Creations. Thiago wrote, edited, directed and photographed audiovisual works, receiving awards of best direction, screenplay, photography, film and drama series. He was the screenwriter and director of the Invisible City series, a series on modern slavery in the Amazon Forest available on Prime Video.
In 2020, he received the Gramado Film Festival award for best editing and four awards from the Brasília Festival of Brazilian Cinema. Later on, he was selected for DocCelerator (Denmark) and DocsBarcelona Campus (Spain). Recently, he premiered two feature films. Outsiders Riders was released in Gramado Film Festival.
