John 'Jack' Vernon Ryan born in 1928, was a director and producer. He worked at CBC for many years, bringing his creative talents to a variety of projects, including Man Alive (1967) and the beloved Canadian children's show Mr. Dressup (1967). One of his favorite memories working at CBC was working with Bob Homme on The Friendly Giant (1958).
