Sarah Felicity Root has had a deep passion for film since her early childhood when her father introduced her to the works of Steven Spielberg and George Lucas. It was during high school, when she had the opportunity of starring as an extra in the 2012 film "Detention of the Dead" that she realized that she wanted to pursue filmmaking as a career. She is a graduate of Wayne State University where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Film with an emphasis in directing and script supervising. Following graduation, she directed her first short film "50 Layers of Cake" which won Best Action/Adventure for the Detroit 48 Hour Film Project. She then went on to direct two more successful award winning shorts: "Dame's Town" and "Loch Lomond". Sarah is one of the co founders of the production company known as Ace High Productions where she encourages filmmakers and actors to pursue their passions as well as assist those who wish to pursue filmmaking discover their interests within the industry.
Her talents also stretch beyond filmmaking into the theatre arts industry. She has extensive experience working in several departments which includes stage management, set dressing, and lighting. Over the years, she has been involved in several professional shows with the Encore Musical Theatre Company, The Penny Seats, and Williamston Theatre.
