Aj Henderson
- Cinematographer
I had an interest in movie production from an early age, recording my first films on my parent's old GE VCR based video camera by the age of 7.
As I grew older, the interest continued to develop, producing sketches for clubs I was involved with. My first formal education started with the Film & Video class in high school and I became the president of my high school's Film & Video club. I also began working as a wedding videographer around this time. I also became involved with live event video production around this time.
During college I decided to study video production as part of a dual major between Computer Science and Electronic Media, Arts & Communications at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. I also became involved with the distance education department at RPI as a student producer and the head of GameCube Cafe and WiiCafe's video coverage, including DVD production covering the Electronic Entertainment Expo.
After college, narrative work died down, but I remained active with occasional documentary and conference work.
Recently, with the advent of affordable quality digital cinema gear I made a re-entry in to the narrative space as the Director of Photography for the streaming TV series "Welcome Home" and the short film "Jacob".
