Martin Luther Wardlaw is a native of Toombs County, Georgia, and is the son of Rev. Dr. Carl Wardlaw Jr. and Mary Wardlaw. He, along with is only sister, Stephanie D. McCloud (Lee) and four brothers, Tony (Stephanie), Jamie (Crystal), Carl (Sarah), and Rodney (Ariel), attended Toombs County Schools and graduated in May of 1995. In 1995 Luther Wardlaw attended Brewton Parker College where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Music.
Martin Luther Wardlaw has four children, Lyric Alexandria, Martin Luther II, Kennedy Marie, and Ava Rei'L.
Upon graduating college, Luther began a career in Music with his four brothers, The Wardlaw Brothers, who became National Gospel Recording Artists in 2003. Luther Wardlaw is now one of Gospel Music's most dynamic songwriters having written several singles that topped the billboard gospel charts including Right Now Lord, Come Through, God's Been There, God Has Kept Me, and a hit album entitled "Stand There" that found it's way to #1 on Billboard's Gospel sales chart. Luther along with his brothers have traveled the United States and beyond singing and have appeared on some of television's most notable networks and television shows including, BET, UPtv, TBN, Bobby Jones Gospel, and America's favorite game show, Family Feud with Steve Harvey. Luther's unique writing, singing, and production abilities, have landed him in rooms with Award Winning Artists and Producers, and have helped in garnering many awards, and nominations for both Dove and Stellar Awards.
In addition to music, Luther Wardlaw co-starred in "The Perfect Mate" a family film that spent weeks at #1 on UrbanFlix and can now be viewed on Amazon Prime. Luther also composed the music score and wrote the soundtrack for the film. In June of 2021, Wardlaw was responsible for producing the film, "Blue Lightening," which was the first movie ever filmed in his hometown of Toombs County, GA.
While music and entertainment are definitely staples in Luther's life and legacy, music and entertainment are certainly not the only pieces to the puzzle of his life. Luther Wardlaw has worked diligently in the field of Social Service. In 2004, Luther Co-Founded Hand-To-Hand Heart-To-Heart Mentoring Program in Toombs County and was responsible for providing mentoring, counseling, and tutoring assistance to more than 200 at-risk youth in Toombs and surrounding counties. Mr. Wardlaw has been the Founder and CEO of several successful companies, and has received the Key to the City along with several other awards and commendations for his philanthropic efforts. Additionally, Luther is a graduate of Leadership Toombs and has received the Key To The City of Lyons, GA.
In July of 2021, Luther Wardlaw relocated to Nashville, TN where he would open a satellite office for Rei'L Worldwide a non-profit organization founded by Wardlaw geared towards providing services to children, individuals, and families in the areas of housing, financial literacy & stability, transportation, rehabilitation, employment, career training, mental health therapy, and identification. Under his leadership, Rei'l has partnered with several major corporations including UPS, DOT Foods Inc., Trane Company, The Department of Community Supervision, Georgia Department of Corrections, The Department of Justice, and The National Baptist Convention, USA representing 40,000 churches allowing Rei'l to have a very strong and effective presence throughout the United States of America.
Luther Wardlaw serves as the President/CEO of Ascension Records, which is an internationally known Record Label distributing Gospel, Hip Hop, Country, Pop, American Pop, and Latina Pop Music and home to The Perfect Mate Soundtrack, Luther Wardlaw, The Wardlaw Brothers, Ana, Brad Silver, and Alyssia McCloud to name a few. Luther Wardlaw is also Founder/CEO of Rei'l Worldwide Inc. which houses Reentry University and Youth Intervention Academy, two organizations that provide reentry services to youth and adults including but not limited to Mental Health Therapy, Housing, Identification, Transportation, Financial Literacy, and Behavior Intervention. Additionally, Luther is in the driver's seat of Ascension Entertainment Management providing management for actors, actresses, models, musical soloists and groups, authors, and other entertainers such as, Quinton Aaron best known for his role as "Big Mike" in the 2009 hit film The Blind Side, international star model Taynara Joy, and model sensation Kendal Wooten to name a few.
Mr. Luther Wardlaw latest undertaking is the creation of Altar Before Anything Clothing and Accessories, a Christian brand distributed throughout the United States of America and beyond. He is a member of the NAACP, Urban League, Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc., Nashville Chamber of Commerce, and the Kiwanis Club of Nashville, TN.
