Laura Jaques

Laura Jaques is a multi award-winning screenwriter who writes high concept comedies and dramas with timely story lines and memorable characters. Her feature screenplay DEEPA BY DESIGN, a coming-of-age drama-comedy loosely based on her husband's family, has won multiple awards including PAGE Finalist, Academy Nicholl Quarterfinalist, Lonely Seal Film Festival's Best Feature-Film Screenplay, Oaxaca Global Script Challenge Finalist, and Austin Film Festival Second Rounder, among others.

Laura has an MFA in Creative Writing from Virginia Tech and has completed extensive additional studies in screenwriting. Highly collaborative, she delivers exceptionally-crafted, marketable scripts tailored to production needs.
