Brian R. Gibson, born in Reading, Pennsylvania, began singing at the age of 4 in his parent's church. At the age of 10 he performed the role of Amahl in "Amahl and the Night Visitors", Gian Carlo Menotti's Christmas opera. Further musical studies in voice, piano, organ, and dance were pursued in the United States and Europe. Brian has gone on to appear in musical comedy and drama, as well as, being an accomplished classical soloist with orchestras and opera companies around the world. He has performed his signature role "Porgy" in The Gershwin's "Porgy and Bess" on six continents and all 50 states, to great acclaim.
Brian's partnership with Handel's Messiah began with his first solo engagement at the age of 13. Since then, several hundred performances have followed, both as Soloist and Conductor, of "Messiah" by Handel.
