Carrie Anderson(III)
- Writer
Before becoming a screenwriter Carrie had a career in global studies that included gaining a Masters of International Affairs from Columbia University in New York, working for a think tank in Washington and overseas postings. Finally pursuing her lifelong love of writing, Carrie completed a Graduate Diploma in Screenwriting at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School where she won the School's Kenneth B. Myer Prize for Exceptional Talent awarded across faculties. Since graduating, she has been developing a diverse slate of original features and series. Her stories draw on her time living and working in different locations around the globe and much of her slate is intended for production/co-production with the U.S. or U.K. Carrie's knowledge of the world of diplomacy and politics, and her love of history, is the basis of some of her slate, while inspiring true stories make up the remainder. Her first original telemovie, RIOT, aired on ABC Australia in 2018 and won Best Telemovie or Mini-series at the Australian Academy of Cinema and Television Arts that year. Her other scripts have won various awards.
