Ambika is an actor, writer and comedian who was born in Newfoundland and raised between India and the US. She left her Private Equity career in 2018 to pursue acting and comedy full-time.
In 2020, her sketch comedy videos caught the attention of Indian comedian, Cyrus Broacha, and she was asked to join the #1 Indian Political Satire TV show, The Week that Wasn't, as a Foreign Correspondent. She wrote and produced her own segments for 30 episodes that aired on CNN-India.
She has appeared on several TV shows including Alaska Daily and A Million Little Things. Additionally, as a writer, she has worked for shows such as Family Law, Children Ruin Everything and ZARQA. Ambika has also appeared in 30+ commercials including the 2022 Super Bowl E*Trade Baby commercial. She currently performs as part of the MainStage Ensemble at The Improv Centre in Vancouver.
She is a graduate of Upright Citizens Brigade (LA), the Peoples Improv Theater (NY) and the Comedy School (London). In 2019, she was a recipient of the UCB Diversity Scholarship. She also has an MBA from INSEAD, a Masters and Bachelors in Accounting from the University of Iowa and is a CPA.
Ambika has lived in eight countries and visited 75. She is a dual-citizen of the US and Canada and an Indian Overseas Citizen.
