David Gilmore is both a physician and actor whose dream is to bring about change through both motivation and education. His interest in acting was spurred when he was cast as Charlie Bucket in his 3rd grade production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. He has continued to act ever since. While in graduate school, David took acting classes and started modeling as a way to help pay expenses. Unfortunately, due to the demands and time constraints, David had to place all of his theatrical endeavors aside while in his medical residency.
David would come to the realization that acting and theater were so much a part of him that he would need to find a way to reincorporate it back into his life after his medical training had been completed. Following graduation from his residency program, David moved to Syracuse, NY where he would be able enroll in school for the study of Theater. Life would be on the rough side the next few years as David also maintained full-time work as a physician. But working long hours was something he felt his residency helped prepare him for. David would soon find his way back to the stage. But, when the COVID-19 pandemic hit, all work would would come to a sudden halt. David soon learned he would need to seek new doors to open as he rediscovered the world of film-making. David's interests lie in incorporating his performance skills in generating public interest in science and medicine as well as the pursuit of the betterment of life. To date, David remains New York based but works jobs across the entire eastern half of the United States.
