Based in Taiwan, Chien-Yu Lin is a director, screenwriter, and production designer. Before studying at the London Film School in 2016, she worked as a fashion designer and dedicated herself to film and experimental media production.
Her debut short film, THE SOUND OF FALLING, Taiwan, won the Prix Festivals Connexion Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes in the LAB competition at the 2019 Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival in France and has been selected for various international film festivals. Her second short film, SUO JIANG, received support from Taiwan's Ministry of Culture through its selective short film fund and has been selected for Sundance Asia 2024.
In the field of production design, Chien-Yu Lin, with eight years of experience working on productions in London, Colombia, and Taiwan, excels in collaborating with international film crews and is well-versed in the working cultures of various countries. She has participated in several multinational productions, including the Taiwan-France co-production, For My Country, directed by Rachid Hami, and the film, Weekend in Taipei, produced by French director Luc Besson.
