JayLo Conanan is a multi-hyphenated cultural worker who has built a body of work in theatre, film, and advertising design, while honing a keen interest in technology and the changes, shifts, and crises these create for those involved in the making of performances, as well as those who remain interested in our notions of humanity.
He was cited for Outstanding Costume Design for his work in PETA's Walang Aray at the Gawad Buhay 2023 Midyear Citations. He was also awarded as the Best Production and Costume Designer at the 2022 THEATERWELTEN, Esslingen, Germany, as 2019 BroadwayWorld Philippines Best Costume Designer and was a delegate for 2019 Festival International de théatre de Mont-Laurier in Quebec, Canada. He was chosen to represent the Philippines as a student jury at the SETKANI International Theater Festival in Czech Republic in 2016. JayLo is also one of the finalists in TERNOCON 2018.
